SUMMARY:SPT: K3-5th Field Trip - Crooked Toe Farm Hatchery
DESCRIPTION:Crooked Toe Farm Hatchery in Pauline breeds exotic chickens. We will learn about and see the chicken hatchery\, hold baby chickens\, see the other animals and finish up by the fire with S’Mores on Monday\, November 4th at 1 pm. This field trip is for K3 thru 5th graders. There is a $5 fee (cash only) for anyone K3 and up who attends\, including parents. This is an outdoor event so plan and dress accordingly. The program length is flexible\, depending on questions.

DESCRIPTION:Christy Henderson\, WSPA Weatherperson will show us the WSPA studio and talk to the students about how she does the weather report on TV. This field trip is limited to 10 – 3rd thru 5th graders only due to space constraints\, so register today! \nThe Field Trip is Friday\, November 15th at 10:45 am. This event will last no more than 45 minutes. There is no cost. One parent is needed to chaperone with the field trip coordinator\, otherwise this is a drop-off event. Christy will show us how the “Green Screen” works and some behind the scenes aspects of the nightly weather report. WSPA Is located at 250 International Rd in Spartanburg.

SUMMARY:SPT K3-5th Sassy Stables - Horseback Riding\, Horse Education and Fun!
DESCRIPTION:Sassy Stables at 570 Barnett Rd in Greer – This is a 2 hour field trip from 10:30 am to 12:30 on Friday\, November 22\, 2024 for Spartanburg K3 – 5th Graders. Students will be divided into groups per age and will rotate through learning stations to include a guided horse ride\, horse painting and horse care. This is an outdoor event so dress accordingly. \nParents are encouraged to stay\, but non-participating siblings cannot stay (only babies in arms are permitted)\, due to limited space at this small\, sweet farm. Paid siblings (k3-5th grade ages) are permitted to participate\, even if they do not attend UHC. Parents must attend for K3 – K5 students. Please let us know at registration if you will be staying. \nSuggestions for those who do not stay due to siblings. You can visit Holston Greek Park or Campbell’s Covered Bridge\, both less than 10 minutes away. \nCost is $15 per child to be paid in advance. No charge for adults. There is a 20 student minimum for this field trip. \n(This is a rescheduled event from October which was rained out) \n  \n*no refunds will be issued after 11/19*
