DESCRIPTION:TR middle school students\, join us at Red Clay Soap which is located at Double Blessing Farm. This field trip will include a meet and greet with the goats\, a soap making demonstration\, goat milk fudge & cheese tasting and some games! \nThe cost is $10.61 per person\, and we can bring a maximum of 25 people. At this time\, we only have space for middle school students\, and we will need at least 2 chaperones. If we do not fill all of the spots\, we can allow siblings to attend. At this time\, please only purchase a ticket for your middle school student and yourself if you would like to be a chaperone. You can indicate on the sign-up if you would like to bring other children\, and you will be contacted if we have extra space. SUMMARY:TR ELEM - Sandy Flat Rock Quarry Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Sandy Flat Quarry for an educational quarry tour designed for homeschool students and families. Participants will enjoy an overlook tour of the quarry pit and learn how we safely extract and process rock through drilling\, blasting\, crushing\, and screening operations to produce aggregates used in roads\, buildings\, and other important infrastructure projects. The tour will also highlight environmental stewardship practices\, including land\, water\, and air quality protection associated with modern mining operations. \nBagged Lunches (4 years old and older) will be provided at no cost. Children under 4 may share a lunch with a parent or sibling. Please note\, this is not a great field trip for small children\, so you may want to make arrangements for them if at all possible. \nClosed Toe shoes are required for safety. \nSignup deadline is October 27 at 11:30pm.
