DESCRIPTION:Come explore the SC State Museum! The South Carolina State Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of South Carolina. It has four floors of permanent and changing exhibits\, a digital dome planetarium\, 4D interactive theater\, and an observatory. The State Museum is located along the banks of the Congaree River in downtown Columbia\, South Carolina. \nWe will meet & go through the museum at our own pace. Please bring a lunch as we have a room set aside for us for lunch. \nAdmission is free for students\, younger siblings 3 and under\, and 1 parent teacher. \nAdditional parent chaperones are $5\, paid at the ticket counter (don’t purchase online as it will charge you full price).

DESCRIPTION:Come learn about how our town stays safe as we visit the Travelers Rest Police and Fire Departments. \nWe will split into two groups and spend about 45 min in each department. \nBring your questions and be prepared to learn all about our police officers and fire fighters jobs. \nPlease have your child write a thank you note to bring along\, and if possible bring a baked good as a thank you for their time. \nLet’s show some appreciation for our hard working local community helpers. \nPlease do not sign up babies and toddlers. Signup deadline is December 1 at 11:30pm.
