IEW’s founder\, Andrew Pudewa\, introduces the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style method of teaching writing briefly covering the nine units of structure and introducing several stylistic techniques. Participants will gain insight into why this method is so effective in teaching even the most reluctant writer. Please note that your high school registration will not be secured until the class is completed. This is not to be harsh\, but rather because we have found over the years that there are many important details for our high school families as they travel the journey towards graduation that are communicated in this seminar. We want you to be prepared on the front end of the high school journey and not scrambling as you get near graduation. \nStudents are not required to attend. \nIf you would like an optional one-on-one consultation\, please note that on the sign up form. SUMMARY:SPT Elem - Greyrock Farms Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Greyrock Farms on April 21st at 10:00am! \nDuring the field trips students learn the strawberry life cycle and pick strawberries to take home. It is typically a pint sized container for students to fill up\, but that depends on availability. The classes then load onto the hayride wagon where they travel to the dairy barn to see the cow milking process. The dairy barn is not completely functional; however students will still be able to see the cows up close and learn in the dairy barn. \nThere is a farmed themed playground and picnic shelter available. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the playground. \nPay on site – For students the cost is $11.00 and it’s $8.00 for teachers/chaperones. (Only the kids get to pick strawberries\, so if parents would rather hang back during the tour while a couple parents attend that would be fine).
