DESCRIPTION:Spartanburg Elementary and Middle School students are invited for a day of fall fun at Strawberry Hill! \nElementary will take a hayride\, pick a pumpkin\, play on the playground\, and eat ice cream. \nMiddle School will navigate the corn maze and meet back up for lunch and ice cream! \nAll participants can pack a lunch for a picnic after the fun. \nWhen you arrive\, please meet in the farm stand at the counter to pay. You will pay Strawberry Hill the day of the event. When you arrive \n\n$15 for elementary students and parents\n$10 + ice cream money for middle school students and parents.\n\nOnce tickets are purchased\, you will be directed where to go with the group. \nAt least one parent from each family must stay for the duration of the field trip. Parents with only middle school students attending are asked to stay with the middle school group and help monitor a group of middle school students at the corn maze. Parents with both elementary and middle school students will stay with the elementary group and your middle school student will be grouped with another parent who will be at the corn maze.

DESCRIPTION:When: Friday\, October 17\, 2025\nTime: 10:00 am (Arrive early)\nWhere: Happy Cow Creamery (332 McKelvey Road Pelzer\, SC 29669)\nCost: $8.55 per person ages 3 and up\, including adults \nIMPORTANT DETAILS: \n-Our tour will include seeing the cows and the farm via trolley\, as well as the milk bottling facility. After we tour\, we will eat ice cream! The tour is about 1 1/2 hours long. \n-Please have your student wear their UHC t-shirt \n-Tour starts promptly at 10:00 am so arrive early! This is an outdoor tour so dress accordingly and you must wear CLOSED TOE shoes. Use restrooms ahead of tour time and bring water\, if you would like. Happy Cow suggest children take the tour on a full stomach as the farm “SMELLS” are easier to handle that way. \n-Paying older siblings are welcome to join in! \nThere is no cost for siblings younger than 3. \n-There is a picnic area for lunch after the tour\, if you are interested. Parents will need to pay and stay with their children. \n-While this is a Spartanburg Elementary tour\, the other campuses are welcome to join\, if you would like\, since Happy Cow can accommodate a fairly large group. \nLast day to register is 10/10. SUMMARY:SPT UHC Parent Training Seminar for IEW Writing Courses 2025
DESCRIPTION:This training seminar is mandatory for parents enrolling students in the following Institute for Excellence in Writing courses at UHC: \n\n3rd Grade IEW\n4th Grade IEW\n5th Grade IEW\nIEW 1\, 6th Grade for Sixth Graders new to UHC\nIEW 1\, 7th-8th Grade for Seventh or Eighth Graders new to UHC\n\nThe UHC Parent Training Seminar for IEW writing courses at UHC is 4 hours long and includes a combination of a recorded training and live Q&A sessions. IEW’s founder\, Andrew Pudewa\, introduces the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style method of teaching writing briefly covering the nine units of structure and introducing several stylistic techniques. Participants will gain insight into why this method is so effective in teaching even the most reluctant writer. UHC Staff and IEW teachers will provide live Q&A sessions where they will explain how UHC applies IEW’s structure and style models in our writing classes.
