DESCRIPTION:Students will be experience a living piece of South Carolina history while learning how a traditional water-powered grist mill operates\, Students will discover how water power was used to grind corn into corn meal and grits and see the original equipment that has remained in use for generations. They will also gain insight into local history agriculture\, engineering\, and craftsmanship while learning how the Suber family has preserved this important landmark and its traditions for more than a century. \n30 minute tours (10 participants per time slot)\n1:00-1:30\n1:45-2:15\n2:30-3:00\nPlease select the ticket for the tour time you’d like below. If your preferred time is full\, you may join the waitlist and/or sign up for an alternate time. \nPlease show up 5-10 min before your group begins as it’s not a long tour. \nSuber’s Corn Mill

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a round of mini golf at Takeoff Mini Golf\, an aviation themed miniature golf course! Everyone will meet under the shelter\, so we can divide into teams before we begin playing. \nTickets are $9.56 per player and need to be purchased in advance. Parents will need to stay on site for this event\, and siblings are welcome to join us! Don’t forget to bring money for their treat shop\, and there is also a playground nearby at Runway Park. \nThe deadline to purchase tickets is October 4th\, and no refunds can be given after that date.

SUMMARY:TR ELEM - Sandy Flat Rock Quarry Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Sandy Flat Quarry for an educational quarry tour designed for homeschool students and families. Participants will enjoy an overlook tour of the quarry pit and learn how we safely extract and process rock through drilling\, blasting\, crushing\, and screening operations to produce aggregates used in roads\, buildings\, and other important infrastructure projects. The tour will also highlight environmental stewardship practices\, including land\, water\, and air quality protection associated with modern mining operations. \nBagged Lunches (4 years old and older) will be provided at no cost. Children under 4 may share a lunch with a parent or sibling. Please note\, this is not a great field trip for small children\, so you may want to make arrangements for them if at all possible. \nClosed Toe shoes are required for safety. \nSignup deadline is October 27 at 11:30pm.
