There are bragging rights to be won\, laughs to share\, and memories to be made!  \nSign your K3-5th grade student up for Field Day being held on Friday\, April 19th on the front lawn at Hampton Heights.  \n\nYellow Birch & Blue Spruce Field Day will be held from 12:30-2:30pm. Sign up below!\n\nNote:  If your family has students in both one and two day models\, please feel free to sign up all of your Elementary children for whichever one field day event you prefer so you don’t have to come twice.  You can just pick a class for your students to join if they are not part of that model usually. \nBe sure to bring camping chairs\, picnic blankets\, water bottles\, and sunscreen. DESCRIPTION:The event the kids have been waiting for all year…  Yes\, it’s Field Day. There are bragging rights to be won\, laughs to share\, and memories to be made!  \nSign your K3-5th grade student up for Field Day being held on Friday\, April 19th on the front lawn at Hampton Heights.  \n\nGreen Cedar & Red Oak Field Day will be held from 9:30-11:30 am. Sign up below!\n\nNote:  If your family has students in both one and two day models\, please feel free to sign up all of your Elementary children for whichever one field day event you prefer so you don’t have to come twice.  You can just pick a class for your students to join if they are not part of that model usually. \nBe sure to bring camping chairs\, picnic blankets\, water bottles\, and sunscreen. Parents should remain onsite for the entire event until closing ceremonies.  We need parents to help lead the student groups from station to station\, check in students\, etc!  Please indicate if you can assist with these types of things on your sign up!  \nStudents should wear as much of their class colors (green cedar\, red oak\, yellow birch\, blue spruce) as possible!  \nNote:  Sign ups close at midnight on April 17th\, 2024. \n\nSIGN UPS ARE NOW CLOSED. \n\n\nQuestions should go to Tamara Turner at tamski19@gmail.com or (864) 423-4533. \n\n

SUMMARY:SPT Elementary Field Day
DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to an exciting fun filled Field Day for our SPT Elementary students this spring!  Field Day for Spartanburg campus will be Thursday April 18 from 10:00-12:00pm.  Park in Lot D and Field Day will be happening on the big Soccer Fields near Lot D at Church At the Mill!  Students may begin arriving at 9:45.  Parents are encouraged to join in the fun!   Many volunteers are needed to make this event a success.  Each grade is assigned a particular color for the day.  For fun\, students will dress out in at least 1 item of clothing of the color that represents their class. This can be as simple as a shirt or the student can dress head to toe in the particular color.  There will be a prize awarded to the grade with the most participants decorated in their grade’s color.  Each grade will stay together as they rotate through each Field Day activity.  Some games will include water\, but your child should not get completely soaked. Field Day will conclude at 12 pm.  You are invited to stay for a picnic on the grounds.  Every family will bring their own lunch and enjoy fellowship with their friends.  Solar Bears Gourmet SnowBalls truck will be onsite at the conclusion of our event.  Snowballs may be purchased from $3-5 (based on size). SUMMARY:GVL MS/HS - Sassy Stables Farm
DESCRIPTION:Our 2 hour field trip will include kids to be split up into 4 different groups. The groups will rotate around to different learning stations where they will spend approximately 20 minutes at each one. One station will be horse riding and guided instruction\, one station will be learning about horses and their care\, one station will be learning about raising and caring for rabbits and chicks\, another station can be a nature/farm scavenger hunt or gardening skill (TBD). \nThis field trip is a great ‘crash course’ that incorporates a lot of what they teach with the horses and offers a quick introduction to these areas. \n$15/student (paid on site at the event)\nDress weather appropriate as most of this field trip is outside.\n*Optional: bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the farm at the conclusion of the field trip.

DESCRIPTION:Live Free Abstinence Education is a 2 MORNING CLASS for middle school students. Students will attend classes both Monday\, April 15 and Wednesday\, April 17 from 9:10 to 11:40. DESCRIPTION:Join us Monday\, April 15th from 10:30-12:00 for a tour of Common Pops at Methodical Manufactory. We will learn about their operation and view the kitchen where they produce their pops. They also share this space with Lumineux Chocolate\, The Spatula Bakery\, Jan’s Carrot Cakes\, Nellie T’s\, and Peachy. After wrapping up the tour and learning about popsicle production\, they offer popsicles to all paying attendees and offer a chance to ask any questions.
