DESCRIPTION:All Drop/Add changes after July 16\,2025  will be charged a $25 late fee at the time of change. *Change to/from Honors is considered a Drop/Add.  The fee does not apply if your child is moved off a waitlist.\nAny enrolled student wishing to drop a class from UHC must do so on or before July 16\, 2025 in order to have their tuition payments refunded. After this date\, the tuition payment is deemed non-refundable. Enrollment fees\, lab and textbook fees\, and credit card transaction fees are non-refundable.\nFor any student who enrolls on the last enrollment day of July 21\, 2025\, his/her schedule is considered final and will be assessed the drop/add fee for any schedule changes requested after enrollment.\nAny high school student who drops a class MUST be entered into a focused study class if they choose to remain on campus during that class period.\nAfter the drop/add deadline of July 16\, 2025\, the student is considered enrolled for the school year and the entire tuition is assessed to the account. This means that dropping a class does not relieve the financial responsibility of the entire year’s tuition. Please refer to the Financial Agreement under Dropping a Class/Withdrawing from UHC for further information.

SUMMARY:GVL UHC Parent Training Seminar for IEW Writing Courses 2025
DESCRIPTION:This training seminar is mandatory for parents enrolling students in the following Institute for Excellence in Writing courses at UHC: \n\n3rd Grade IEW\n4th Grade IEW\n5th Grade IEW\nIEW 1\, 6th Grade for Sixth Graders NEW to UHC\nIEW 1\, 7th-8th Grade for Seventh or Eighth Graders NEW to UHC\n\nThe UHC Parent Training Seminar for IEW writing courses at UHC is 4 hours long and includes a combination of a recorded training and live Q&A sessions. IEW’s founder\, Andrew Pudewa\, introduces the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style method of teaching writing briefly covering the nine units of structure and introducing several stylistic techniques. Participants will gain insight into why this method is so effective in teaching even the most reluctant writer. UHC Staff and IEW teachers will provide live Q&A sessions where they will explain how UHC applies IEW’s structure and style models in our writing classes. UHC staff and teachers will also offer parents the opportunity to ask questions and share input. \nThis seminar will be held at the Grace Church campus of UHC\, in the Worship Center.   Families with students attending GVL\, SPT\, or TR campuses may attend this seminar. \nFind More Details: UHC Parent Training for IEW Writing Courses \nMaterials and Fees: Each attendee will need the handbook Teaching Writing: Structure and Style\, Second Edition. Please note that your high school registration will not be secured until the class is completed. This is not to be harsh\, but rather because we have found over the years that there are many important details for our high school families as they travel the journey towards graduation that are communicated in this seminar. We want you to be prepared on the front end of the high school journey and not scrambling as you get near graduation. \nStudents are not required to attend. \nIf you want a consultation\, please note that on the sign up form.
