Large snowmakers ensure tubing even in warm weather\, and the location sits beside NCDOT\, so roads are typically clear even if icy conditions occur. \nPayment is due on-site. DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a game of bowling while learning more about how a local bowling alley runs. Ever wonder how the machine that sets the bowling pins works? Bring your questions to ask and enjoy some fun as well. \nThis field trip is limited to 25 people (students and parents\, do not include younger tag-along siblings). Due to such limited capacity\, it is very important that you only register if you will be attending. If plans change\, please make sure to cancel your ticket and/or contact the Field Trip Coordinator as soon as possible. \nEach child who plans on bowling pays $4 when they arrive to play one game of bowling. Once everyone is done with their game the staff will take us behind the alley to teach us about their machines that make the alley run smoothly. Children must listen and keep their fingers away from different parts of machines as the staff has shared how dangerous it can be for small fingers. Younger siblings can attend\, paying for them only if they are bowling. It may be best not to take them behind the alley afterwards. \nThey MUST wear white soled tennis shoes to bowl (NOT black as they will leave marks). If they do not wear white soled tennis shoes\, they must pay for bowling shoe rentals at $5.25 each. If parents want to bowl\, they MUST pay for shoe rental for the one game ($5.25). \nPlease arrive at 12:15 to start our games promptly at 12:30. The field trip should be complete by 2:00.

SUMMARY:GVL MS - French Broad Chocolate Factory Tour (Asheville)
DESCRIPTION:This 45-60 minute tour of the chocolate factory will provide students with an in-depth explanation of the chocolate-making process from bean-to-bar. This includes cacao harvesting and processing\, company history and values\, and chocolate from a global perspective. Tours include a classroom portion\, a guided tour through the factory halls to learn how French Broad Chocolates turns beans into bars\, and a guided tasting of chocolate. (Description is from their website). \nIt is very important you arrive by 9:45\, for the tour will begin promptly at 10:00. Parents are responsible for their student’s transportation. We will all meet at the factory NOT the lounge (please check correct address) at 9:45\, so we can have time to divide into two groups and start promptly on time\, tour is from 10:00 – 11:00. There will be an opportunity to support their company as a variety of chocolates (at a 10% discount!) will be available for purchase after the tour 🙂 \nTicket cost is 9.84 for each attendee\, upon registration. \nParents are welcome to stay; however\, we ask that you please leave siblings at home due to limited spots.
