DESCRIPTION:Parents of 5th Graders\, You’re invited to a celebratory clap out in honor of your 5th grader’s last day of school! We are so incredibly proud of these students and will miss them when they move up to middle school! Read on for more details: \nWhen:\n–Green Cedar (Monday ONLY students): Monday\, April 6th. Parents arrive by 2:15pm \nNote: Parents should plan to arrive a little before 2:15 so you can park and find your spot in the tunnel. We do not want you to miss your 5th grader walking out! \nWhere: If the weather is nice\, we’d love to do this outside! Please park in the Parent Parking area on either side of the church Sanctuary building. Gather on the large grassy field next to the Sanctuary and you’ll be directed on where to stand! We will have K3-4th grade students\, plus you parents\, form a tunnel from all the way to the gym for our 5th graders to walk through while you clap and cheer! \nWhat to Bring: Yourselves! Posters\, balloons\, streamers\, etc. are also encouraged as a fun way to recognize their hard work and this incredible milestone of leaving elementary school. Tissues are also encouraged for those misty eyes! \nJust like a normal class day all parents will be asked to wait outside the Gym until all classes have entered the gym. Then parents will be able to enter and pick up their students. Please remember to bring your car tag! After you’ve picked up\, feel free to gather outside the Gym and take more pictures with your student’s friends\, teachers\, etc! All teachers have been asked to stay after for a little while so that pictures can be taken!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and educational field trip at The Pavilion! We will tour the facility and learn all about ice rinks\, refrigeration\, and important components of ice skating and hockey. After the tour\, students will have the opportunity to take an ice skating and ice hockey lesson as well as have free time to ice skate. Lunch can be added for an additional fee or you may bring your own lunch. \nStudents may be dropped off for this event\, and we will need 2 chaperones to help supervise. Chaperones do not need to purchase a ticket. \nOther adults who would like to skate may purchase a ticket at the rink for $8.95. Siblings may attend as long as the parent is staying the entire time\, and you need to purchase a student ticket for them. \nCost:\n$12.21 (without lunch)\n$16.54 (includes lunch – 2 slices of pizza\, chips\, and a drink) \nRegistration will end Sunday March 29th and no refunds can be given after that date. DESCRIPTION:Get ready to move\, climb\, jump\, and have a blast! We’re excited to offer an action-packed field trip to Motive Movement\, a premier Ninja Warrior and parkour gym right here in Greenville\, near Haywood Mall. \nWhen:\nFriday\, March 27\n9:30–11:30 AM \nWho:\nK5–5th grade\nAge requirement: Participants must be at least 5 years old\nYounger siblings may hang out and watch with parent supervision. There is also very small play area upstairs for wiggles while they wait. \nWhat:\nStudents will enjoy two full hours of guided\, high-energy fun\, including:\n– Ninja Warrior obstacle courses inspired by the American Ninja Warrior TV show\n– Parkour circuits that build agility\, balance\, and coordination\n– Trampoline time on two Olympic-size trampolines\n– Spring floor and additional movement challenges\n– Motive also incorporates time focused on building positive habits\, encouraging students to practice perseverance\, goal-setting\, teamwork\, and confidence in a supportive environment. \nImportant:\nThis is not a drop-off event.\nParents or a designated chaperone must plan to stay with their children during the field trip. You are welcome to coordinate with another family and have one adult responsible for multiple children if that works best for you. \nNo refunds will be offered\, but you may transfer your registration to another family. We will learn some of the best tools to foster and teach regulation as well as how to foster a deeper connection with your child. Parking is in the old Drew’s parking lot. \nPresenter is Adam Cowan\, LPC of Wellspring Counseling. Please see his bio below: \nBackground \nI was born and raised in Albuquerque\, NM. As is common among teenage males\, I struggled to be motivated or engaged in High School academics. I longed for adventure and to spend time away from what I considered tedious and impractical. For these reasons\, I joined the Marine Corps out of High School. During my time in the service\, I was deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. Following my service\, I returned to school and spent 9 years working in churches as a youth and young adult pastor. In conjunction with beginning graduate training as a therapist\, I worked as an investigative case worker for Child Protective Services. \nExperience \nLicensed Professional Counselor (South Carolina)\nM.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling\, Gordon-Conwell (CACREP)\nB.A. in Latin American Studies\, The University of New Mexico\nCertified Child Welfare Specialist\, SCDSS\nAmerican Counseling Association (Professional Member) \nI specialize in treating pre-adolescents\, adolescents\, and men dealing with anxiety\, OCD\, ADHD\, ODD\, depression\, low self-esteem\, low self-confidence\, anger struggles\, emotional dysregulation\, and poor peer relationships. I also work a great deal doing parental consultation to help parents build coherent parenting plans\, change systemic cycles\, lead behavior change\, and repair parent-child relationships. \nI am primarily a cognitive behavioral therapist who integrates Motivational Interviewing\, Solution-Focused Therapy\, Mindfulness\, and Parent-Management Training. \n
