This is especially important for students that haven’t done math all summer or took Geometry between Algebra 1 and 2.  We will focus on reviewing  the following topics:\n~Evaluating algebraic expressions\n~Using order of operations\n~Working with signed numbers\n~Applying the distributive property\n~Factoring by finding the Greatest Common Factor\n~Solving and graphing linear equations\n~Solving and graphing inequalities\n~Operations with exponents\, including roots and negative exponents\n~Solving quadratic equations\, including by factoring\n~UHC Summer Assignment assistance \nStudents are required to have a copy of the Algebra 2 text used for the UHC Algebra 2 course.  Algebra II w/Trigonometry – Classics Edition\, Prentice Hall\,  ISBN 013133798X  If you do not have a textbook or you are not a UHC student\, please contact the instructor. \nThere will be no homework assigned\, but students are expected to bring a scientific calculator to each class\, and to work through the problems as they are presented.  \nQuestions to Laura Erwin: HSMom3Boys@aol.com.  \nMessage from the teacher: \nI homeschooled my three sons for a total of 20 years. Instructions will be sent to registered students as to exactly which pages need to be printed and brought to class. \nThere will be no homework assigned\, but students are expected to bring an SAT-approved scientific calculator to each class\, and to work through the problems as they are presented.
