DESCRIPTION:Register your 5th grader for an Ecology field trip at Paris Mountain! The theme of this field trip is “Interdependence in Ecosystems” and the field trip will include: field study in mountain creek\, measure temps and PH\, analyze food web models\, 1 1/2 mile ecosystem hike. \nThis is a DROP OFF field trip only open to GVL 5th grade students\, we will need three chaperones\, please indicate at sign up if you would like to be a chaperone. Please have your child wear their UHC t-shirt to this field trip. \nAttendees should wear comfortable shoes for hiking and clothes they don’t mind getting a bit wet in\, boots will be provided but shorts/pants may get wet. \nNo refunds after 11/1\, if you sell your spot to another student\, please contact Katherine Barnard kktimby@gmail.com so the roster is up to date. \nMEETING LOCATION: Picnic flats parking lot (first lot that is on the left)

SUMMARY:GVL: 2nd Grade Paris Mtn. Biodiversity Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Second graders\, siblings\, and families please join us at Paris Mountain on Friday\, March 28th from 9:15-1:30 to learn about biodiversity! \nEach student K5 and up is $5. Adults are not charged\, but they must be present as a chaperone. All students are charged $5 regardless of state park pass. Entry to park is waived with field trip payment. We need 25 students for the field trip to occur. \nStudents will collect water and perform land field investigations as they collect animals\, measure water and air temperature\, and look for patterns among water animals. Students will hike around Lake Placid at the end observing plants and animals. \nPlease bring lunch\, water\, and water shoes if desired. We cannot offer refunds after Tuesday\, March 25th.
