SUMMARY:TR ELEM World of Energy Nuclear Power Plant Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this FREE K5-5th field trip presentation that highlights Oconee Nuclear Station\, which is adjacent to the World of Energy. \nDuring this field trip we will hear an electricity presentation\, which explains the different fuel sources used to make electricity\, the importance of electricity in today’s world and how electricity is generated\, specifically at Oconee Nuclear Station. In addition to the tour\, students will watch an educational movie\, do a scavenger hunt\, and have a self-guided tour of the Story of Energy exhibits. \nThere will be a picnic center available for our use for those who want to pack lunch. \nThis is NOT a drop off field trip. Siblings are welcome. Please have your students wear their UHC t-shirt to this field trip so we can tell you are with our group. Signups end 11/6
