Course Description
This project-based course explores a large variety of financial investments, emphasizing the power of compound interest. The focus will be on how to make wise choices when offered numerous investing opportunities. Safety and risk, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, budgeting to invest, investing in eternity, others and your own future, and many more key elements to successfully investing will be covered in detail in this course.
To be successful in this class:
Students must have good time management skills, be able to organize material, complete assignments and turn them in on time. Students will be expected to come to class prepared, take an active part in classroom discussions, and complete projects on time.
Grades: 9th Grade, 10th Grade, 11th Grade, 12th Grade
Fees: $225 tuition + $30 textbook fee
Course Credit: 0.5 elective
Required Materials
A teacher-developed workbook will be provided with the $30 textbook fee paid with enrollment.
