Enrollment FAQs
General FAQs
In an effort to be fair to everyone, we must keep enrollment appointments scheduled in the order they were pre-enrolled. That means that we cannot move you to an earlier date or time, allowing you to advance in front of other enrollees. We can move you to a later date or time, but in doing so, you are putting yourself behind others who may receive the spaces in classes you were hoping for, and availability is not guaranteed for you. If you’d like to do this, please notify our Registrar. However, before changing your enrollment appointment, we first encourage you to try to send a friend or family member in your place to complete the enrollment process, making sure they’re able to choose classes, schedule your volunteer hours, and make payment for you.
You will be waitlisted for your desired classes. You may be waitlisted remotely or at your enrollment appointment, but a director or the Registrar will notify you whether or not you need to come to an enrollment appointment in order to waitlist. If a space becomes available, a director will contact you and will notify you of how to proceed with enrollment in that class.
For K3-2nd grades, we may be able to enroll your child from a waitlist at any point in the school year. For grades 3rd and up, we will enroll your student from a waitlist up until the first day of classes. Once classes begin, we do not typically enroll students in 3rd-12th grades.
There is no way of knowing the likelihood of getting in any particular class. Once you’ve completed pre-enrollment, you are able to view class availability at anytime.
Follow these instructions.
Middle & High School Enrollment is closed after the last summer enrollment day, with the following exceptions: Students currently on a waiting list and high school students wishing to enroll for second-semester-only classes. Elementary will sometimes enroll a student mid year depending on the grade/class if there are openings.
No, if a spot opens for your child, you will pay then.
We will open waiting lists for any full classes. Waiting lists do not transfer from year to year. When a spot opens for a waitlisted student, the appropriate level Director-, elementary, middle school, or high school, will immediately contact the parent.
Current Member Enrollment FAQs
Members get equal priority enrollment with other members at their current campus, and priority over new members at the desired campus. If you desire to transfer campuses, you will need to waitlist the classes you desire at that campus. Once all current members at the desired campus have enrolled, you may then enroll on that campus. Thus, you get priority enrollment over new members, but not current members that attend that campus presently. For the ’25-’26 school year, all members desiring to transfer to the new TR campus will be enrolled at your enrollment appointment, assuming there is availability in the desired grade/class. The waitlist process will not apply to TR for the 2025-2026 school year only.
The enrollment process for this situation is as follows:
- Complete online pre-enrollment.
- You will be given an enrollment appointment.
- At your enrollment appointment, you may enroll at your current campus and waitlist your desired campus. We suggest enrolling at your current campus in the case that spots are not available at the end of current member enrollment on the desired campus.
- If/when spots become available for your desired campus, the appropriate director(s) will notify you, and the Registrar will transfer your enrollment remotely, and notify you of any necessary next steps.
- If the classes you need were to not be available at the end of current member enrollment, you may remain on the waitlist for the desired campus and would receive first priority over new members waitlisting classes.
If your student is a currently enrolled Preschool-6th grader, he/she will be guaranteed a spot at your current campus if the parent follows the enrollment procedures as outlined. If the currently enrolled student is a rising 7th-12th grader, and the parent follows the enrollment procedures, the parent will be allowed to enroll early with current families and will be more likely to get the classes desired.
Priority is given to current students remaining in their current model/current day. If you would like to change your model/day section, you must waitlist your desired section, and if spots are available after current students have enrolled, we will move you into your desired section. With this in mind, we would recommend that you enroll in your current section so that you have a spot in a class guaranteed. Should you be able to transfer to your desired section, the appropriate director will notify you and our registrar will make that transfer remotely.
The new student gets priority over new member families, but does not get priority over current students. At your current member enrollment appointment, we will waitlist your new student in their classes. Once we have processed all enrollments for current students, we will move your new student into classes prior to enrolling new members at our first new member enrollment day. You will not be required to come in for an additional enrollment appointment.
A succinct order of enrollment is as follows:
- Current students remaining on their same campus and same model get first priority to enroll at the same campus and in the same model.
- Current students remaining on their same campus but desiring to change models will then be offered open spaces in those classes.
- Current students desiring to transfer campus will then be offered available spaces in their requested classes.
- After all current students have been enrolled, new students in current member families will then be offered available spots and allowed to enroll prior to new member families.
*For the ’25-’26 co-op year, we anticipate that all Greenville families desiring to transfer to the new Travelers Rest campus will be able to enroll in those classes at their enrollment appointment, and do not plan to need to waitlist any current students transferring to the TR campus.
*Please make note that classes may fill at any time once we begin enrolling students, so there is no guarantee that your desired class/section may be available; this is why we stress that it is important to enroll your student in their current class/section/campus where they are guaranteed a spot (excluding the TR campus for the ’25-’26 year only)
New Member Enrollment FAQs
Unfortunately, no, being assigned an enrollment appointment does not guarantee a space in class for your child. Enrollment appointments are assigned at the beginning of our enrollment season, and until we enroll current members, we do not have a way to know how many spaces will be available for new members. We will do our best to contact families in advance if we know that their children will have to be waitlisted so they do not have to come in for an enrollment appointment. If you have multiple children and some may get spaces in classes but others will be waitlisted, we will still have you come in person and may not notify you of your waitlisted students in advance.
We have no way of knowing the likelihood of getting in any particular class. We take enrollments on a first-come basis. We will open waiting lists for any full classes and fill open spots from the waiting lists as they occur.
Please read the enrollment instructions for new members above. Appointments are assigned in the order in which you complete online pre-enrollment.
Your new student does not have priority over other current members (i.e, a student who attended last year and is in the same classes you desire for your new student will have priority over your new student); however, your new student will have priority over new members enrolling at new member enrollments.
