2025-2026 School Year
3rd Grade Art TR
Art for 3rd-5th grades is taught on a 3-year rotation so that students enrolled at UHC for all three grades receive different content each school year.
Course Description
The study of art at UHC helps students better see and appreciate God’s own artistic brilliance in His lavish creation. Studio practice is augmented by a weekly lecture, films or paintings, and group discussion. There is an intentional focus on creativity and mastery of basic understanding of the elements of design, which are taught through a variety of media and hands-on learning. The children learn to create, critique, and grow in their skills and understanding of art and how historically it has been shaped, or shapes, culture. There is no homework for Art class.
