Field Trip Policy
We search for trip ideas to enrich and reinforce what our students are studying, or that help them learn to be community-minded. Our overarching desire is to have a positive Christian testimony to the community. We do this by having respectful manners, being punctual, and showing consideration to the groups offering field trip experiences for our students. We aim to have at least one field trip per month, with some for the entire family, K-2nd, elementary, or middle/high school grades.
Throughout the year, you will receive information about upcoming field trips through the MailChimp newsletters and through the website calendar.
For most field trips, children must be accompanied by an adult – do not drop your kids off by themselves at any field trip, unless otherwise specified. Occasionally, there will be MS/HS field trips that do not require every parent to attend. This will be very clearly stated in the description for the field trip; however, a certain number of chaperones will be asked to attend. For some field trips, preschool siblings will be allowed to attend. This will be clearly stated.
Roper Mountain Science Center field trips are an exception to the policy of parents/siblings attending. Only the student whose grade is attending a field trip at Roper Mountain may attend. Parents may only attend as a chaperone. Siblings are not allowed.
