Internship 1
Course Description
After successful completion of Career Success, students enrolled in the CTC program will have the opportunity to interview for a paid internship with one of the UHC business partners. After navigating the hiring process and being offered an internship position, the student will be enrolled in the Internship 1 class. The student will be expected to meet the goals set by the CTC Internship teacher. This course runs concurrently with the UHC semester. Final course credit hours will be based on hours worked (60 – 119 = half credit, 120+ = full credit).

To be successful, the student will need to demonstrate punctuality, consistent attendance, task completion, professionalism, effective communication, teachability, and teamwork.
Grades: 11th Grade, 12th Grade

Prerequisites:
Enrollment in Career and Trade Connections (CTC) Program, successful completion of Career Exploration and Career Success, and hired by one of the UHC business partners
Course Credit: 0.5 - 1 credit depending on hours completed
