2026-2027 School Year
Math Lab for Middle School GVL
Monday AND Wednesday
Course Description
Math Lab for 7th-8th grade is a tutorial style study hall designed to be a time of reinforcement for students enrolled in UHC Intermediate Math or Pre-Algebra classes. Students will be required to bring their current math course work (homework, notes/math journal, etc.) with them to class each day. Students will be able to receive assistance on current objectives in a small group setting. The teacher will not proctor or assist students on graded assignments (quizzes, projects, tests, etc.), but will assist with mastery of homework in preparation for the graded assignments.
To be successful in this class:
Students are expected to come to class ready to work on their homework as assigned by their classroom teacher. This is not a social time as students are expected to work quietly and diligently on their math homework. Students are expected to have the math lab teacher check their work for the current days assignment and then make corrections as necessary.
Grades: 7th Grade, 8th Grade
