2025-2026 School Year
Elementary Reader’s Theater (GVL)
Course Description
Reader’s Theater is an exciting way to involve students in reading aloud. Students “perform” by reading scripts created from grade-level books or stories.
Reader’s Theater is a strategy that combines reading practice and performing. Its goal is to enhance students’ reading skills and confidence by having them practice reading with a purpose.
In this class, students will practice fluency, projection, inflection, tone, pacing, and general reading skills through a fun and exciting story!
Students will participate in a performance at the end of each semester that parents will be invited to watch!
Reader’s Theater meets on Wednesday mornings only from 8:00am-9:05am.
