2026-2027 School Year
Algebra 1 Virtual Math Lab
This is a supplementary virtual tutoring session for students currently enrolled in a UHC Algebra 1 course.
All virtual math labs will be held on Google Meet. The virtual session will be recorded and posted in JE for students to use as review after the session. While the focus of the recordings will be the instructor and what she is writing, students may also appear on screen when they ask questions. If the parent wishes for the student to not be in the video, the student can keep the camera turned off during the session.

Course Description
The Virtual Math Lab for Algebra 1 is a Friday virtual tutoring session for students enrolled in a UHC Algebra 1 course in the current school year. Students will submit homework questions or specific concept questions in advance of the weekly session. The Virtual Math Lab instructor will go over these questions and concepts in the virtual meeting. Weekly attendance is strongly encouraged to achieve the most benefit.
Meetings will be 30-60 minutes long and will depend on how many questions are submitted by students. They will be at the same time every Friday. If no questions are submitted, there will be example problems from the homework that will be demonstrated during the meeting. Notes created by the teacher will be emailed out after each session to all enrolled students.
To be successful in this class:
Students are expected to make an attempt at their homework assignments prior to attending. Active participation in the session and submitting questions in advance will provide the most success for the student.
