2026-2027 School Year

Student Government Leadership

Course Description

The Student Government class is a leadership based course where students actively serve the Upstate Homeschool Co-op through planning events, supporting school initiatives, and representing the student body. Students take on defined roles and responsibilities, collaborating with peers and advisors to execute projects, communicate effectively, and contribute to the overall school community. Performance is evaluated holistically based on responsibility, initiative, teamwork, communication, and leadership demonstrated through consistent participation and follow through. Through this experience, students grow as leaders by serving others, managing real responsibilities, and making a meaningful impact on campus life.

To be successful in this class:

Success in this class looks like a student who consistently follows through on responsibilities, contributes positively to the team, and takes initiative in serving the school community. A successful student leads through action, communicates well, and can be relied upon by peers and advisors. Over time, they show growth in confidence, ownership, and their ability to make a meaningful impact on Student Government.
