Mission Statement: To glorify God by providing spiritual, social, emotional, and academic enrichment to home school families and the community (Luke 2:52).

Thank you for your interest in employment at UHC. You are applying for a ministerial position within a faith based organization and will be asked to review and agree to the standards explained in our Statement of Faith.

UHC believes that ministerial positions within the organization are important in the life of the Christian faith because they serve to communicate the Christian mission and message of UHC. As such, ministerial employees are required to communicate the Christian faith to our students in praying with students, sharing the gospel with students, incorporating the faith into the substance of the course curriculum, and teaching our students to live our their faith. You will be asked to provide details on your ability to serve as a ministerial employee for UHC within this application.

We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Ps 139). UHC requires a background check on all staff, teachers, and volunteers who will be on campus working with students. This is for the protection of our children. This information is kept confidential with only the Executive Director, Human Resources, and Administrative Assistant having knowledge to results.

We use a reliable, Christian company that works with churches and ministries across the country. Protect My Ministry is an employment and volunteer background screening company established to assist faith-based organizations in implementing and maintaining a thorough background screening process. The goal of background checks is to provide the safest atmosphere possible for children, as well as teachers and others serving within the organization. A ministry that serves children and youth has the obligation to exercise due diligence in protecting its members, especially the children.

As part of the background check process, a consumer report and/or investigative consumer report may be obtained from a consumer reporting agency. These reports may contain information about your character, general reputation, personal characteristics and mode of living, whichever are applicable. The reports may also contain information about you relating to your criminal history, credit history, driving and/or motor vehicle records, education or employment history, or other background checks.

You have the right, upon written request made within a reasonable time after the receipt of this notice, to request disclosure of the nature and scope of any investigative consumer report prepared by contacting UHC and Protect My Ministry 14499 N. We use a paperless option that allows you to enter your information directly into the website. Background checks are required for all individuals who volunteer or teach on campus.
