Student Drop Off:

Any student dropped off on the Grace campus must be enrolled in a class or in Focused Study class. Siblings and carpooling students who have no class but are being dropped off must be enrolled in the Focused Study class. Contact [email protected] if you need to do this.

  • Early Hour (8:00am class time): Students  may  not enter the building before 7:50 and should go directly to their classrooms.
  • 1st hour class (9:10 Class Time): Students may be dropped off beginning at 8:45 and go directly to the gym and wait quietly for the bell to ring. At 9:05 students will be dismissed to their 2nd floor or Student Center classes.
Note: Due to an 8:00am high school class meeting in a room off the gym, students may not play basketball or any other type of group game while waiting.
  • 2nd-4th Hour Classes: Students arriving for classes throughout the day will do so via the carline and may arrive 10 minutes prior to class, but no more than 10 minutes.
Note: NO “Walk In” Drop Offs: Parents may not walk in to drop off students at classrooms. Please help us with this safety issue. If you have any issues/questions about this process please contact your director.

All Students Dismissal:

Students will be at the car line waiting area in the gym by 2:40 p.m. Parents MUST have a parking permit to drive or park on campus. You may not pick up your student without the parking permit. “No tag, no kid”.

Please print your last name on the back of your car tag with a sharpie. Please have your tag hanging on your rearview mirror with the name facing out when you pull on campus.

Carpooling: If you plan to pick up someone else’s children, you must have a copy of or actual parking permit for the student you are picking up. Make sure all parking tags for any students you are picking up are visible and marked with last name and students’ first names.

If your student is not ready to exit/enter the car, you will be asked to circle back through the entire line. Students need to be ready to enter/exit quickly so that the line can continue moving.

As you exit the parking lot, you must exit turning right out of the parking lot onto Meridian Avenue. No vehicles will be permitted to turn left to exit the parking lot during drop off and dismissal times.

For drop off or pickup between classes throughout the day, you must use this traffic pattern above. Please DO NOT drop your student off at the Student Center (Small Building).

Special Dismissal during classes: If your student must leave co-op during class for an appointment or family emergency, please notify your director and make plans with her for a special dismissal.

Please be patient and courteous as we work out the kinks during the first few weeks. Please also understand that all these policies are for the safety of your children.

Parent Parking:

All family members who drive and park on campus to serve or attend a meeting must read the parking permit agreement and purchase a parking permit to be displayed by hanging from the rearview mirror of the vehicle any time the car is on co-op premises.

Parents must enter at the Student/Parent entrance at Meridian Avenue. See map above.

Parent Assistant parking is only to be used the days a parent is actually volunteering. These parking spaces are on the north side of campus, highlighted in pink. You may walk your children in with you on these days.

Student Parking:

Students who drive and park on campus, must read the parking permit agreement and purchase a parking permit to be displayed by hanging from the rearview mirror of the vehicle any time the car is on co-op premises. Students who have a valid driver’s license are welcome to drive themselves to and from co-op with parental permission. Please note that it is a privilege for students to drive on campus, and as such, they may not use their family pass, but must purchase a student parking permit at registration. If a high school student parking permit was not purchased at registration, print, fill out, and return application with fee at student orientation.

Enter the parking lot at the Student/Parent entrance at Meridian Avenue. Student parking spaces are noted in orange on the map.  See map above.

NOTE: Any unexpected needs regarding these expected procedures must be discussed with a director.
